Crus & Amala was born from a simple idea: That wine should tell a story- of people, place and purpose.

We are importers and distributors of exceptional European wines to emerging markets across Africa – starting with Kenya, Rwanda and Côte d’Ivoire.

We partner with dynamic winemakers whose values and crafsmanship we deeply admire. Rooted in integrity, relationships, and a love for wine, our mission is to bring high-quality, thoughtfully made wines to new audiences across the continent.

The word Cru in Crus refers to a specific vineyard or wine-growing region, recognized for its quality in the wine world. Amala, in Sanskrit, signifies purity. Together, they reflect our commitment to wines of excellence—sourced with integrity and rooted in meaningful relationships.

Crus & Amala was founded on a deep belief in wine as a connector- between people, places, and stories.
At the heart of it is Aline Rudasingwa, a classically trained sommelier with roots in Rwanda and a home in Canada. Her path through wine has been shaped by both study and experience, from formal certifications to hands-on work across European harvests.

For Aline, hospitality is more than a profession- it’s a way of being. With Crus & Amala, she brings together technical knowledge and genuine intention, grounding each bottle in care, curiosity, and cultural exchange. We believe wine is at its best when it’s shared- not just poured. Whether you’re just starting out or seeking new layers of understanding, we invite you to explore alongside us.
